Why do people assume things? Why don't they listen and approach it reasonably....

There seems to have been ill sentiment towards recent actions of mine... according to some, i have been 'hogging' the forums...i did not intend this, as i have said repeatedly, i merely post those topics because i have found them interesting, and i thought that, maybe, others would be interested, i don't know if others avidly search for such news items...so, i brought them to JU....also, if others are indeed interested in the topic, then they could start a debate over it...none of my actions were intended on purpose...and i also apologize for the language, i was at the time of recent comments, having to deal with a conflict on another site...so some of my frustration/anger wasn't intended, but came out...

Another thing...if JU is a place for personal blogs, then why can't someone post something he/she found publically...., and i avidly search search, read and think...thats who i am, i am not the 'narcisst' or 'forum hogger' that some think... also, why (i heard this on the 'polar bear' topic) should someone be banned for actions that are not intended to be selfish, but done with others in mind...why...such actions as blogging would go against the essence of the 1st amendment, blogging....etc... perhaps i will stick to my blog only for a while...

Your blog is your blog...you are allowed to post whatever you like, within the TOU.

However, it is discouraging to your fellow bloggers when they work really hard on a post (write about something they're passionate about, write something that seeks the opinions of others, write something that required a lot of research, etc.) only to find that it's buried underneath several other blogs before anyone has had the chance to read/respond to it.

Most folks don't have a lot of time (or the patience) to go digging for old stuff, so they just click on the links that are on the forum page. Because of this, the well-written, thought-provoking stuff won't be seen if another blogger spams the forums with multiple posts under the same category.

As far as the content of your blogs goes, it's your business what you want to post/blog about. A courtesy might be to post your "link only" blogs to your blog and not the forum. Folks who are interested in your favorite pics/links can then visit your page specifically and look at pics of the polar bear or read a link to a news story that you found interesting.

I agree that posting several articles in the same category, especially when they are essentially devoid of original content, is not a considerate thing to do, and I would be incredibly frustrated if something I'd worked hard on received few or no replies because it had been buried under a series of link postings.

Just my thoughts.

Blog away dear friend.... but if it's only photo you are posting... there is no need to take up forum space with it...confine it to your blog. Your 'fans' will click on it. The forums are for specific topics and often one has to dig to find the one they are looking for because people post things like photos...making it difficult to find a real article.
We all have our 'days' Lucas.... yesterday was yours... today is a new one!

Don't go Lucas... I know how you feel. I too have wanted to leave on more than one occassion... its not the thing to do. You are part of our community... stay that way!
If certain bloggers irritate you, stop reading their threads, blacklist them so they can't post on yours. Running away will sove nothing, you obviously have ideas that you wish to share with us and there are some of us that want to see them.
Take Mrrranders advice.....

trust me dude this fight ain't worth it...

Lucas, don't think that what's happening now is anything new. We've seen your type many times before...

You come on and lie about stuff and then beg forgiveness. Then one person makes a jab about something that, to be fair, annoys many people and you think you're being victimised. As a result you decide to storm off in a huff and claim that everything is just so vastly unfair.

You mentioned that you were having a fight on another site as well? Could it be that perhaps the problem is with you, not everyone else?

Lucas, I hope you stay.  I appreciate your comments and thoughts on many topics.

In the end, it is your blog and you can do with it as you please.  You just need time to grow a thick skin.

--Its the fact that i acted out of consideration, and LW was a asshole enough, to not to advise me on it privately...she could have emailed me, and i would have done things different...i still am glad to...as i don't need to go another round with any one else...and as for the conflict elsewhere...it was not because of me, it was a regulation put out that i and many others disagree with, and the opposing group seemed to have adopt an irrational approach to it...

As I told him elsewhere, if he can't handle being insulted now and then, leaving is the best thing he can do.

Of course, in his mind, we're at fault here, nobody understands poor, poor Lying Lucas....ogres, we are, ogres!

--I can take an insult once in a while...but, its when you falsely assumed something and then after i repeatedly told you my intentions, so you would understand... you continued...that shows me you don't care whether the truth is told or not...at least thats what i see...

Careful you must be. Lead you down the path to the dark side it will. hmmmmmmm.

--No shit...

In the end, it is your blog and you can do with it as you please. You just need time to grow a thick skin.

--Well, i guess i can thank LW for helping me grow one over night, cause as far as i am concerned...anyone who assumes anything about me, with out asking...f*** them... they arn't willing to take the time to get to know me...
