Well, with the latest clash between the US and the UN, Bolton stated, "Maybe it is fashionable in some circles to look down on Middle America, to say they don’t get the complexities of the world and they don’t have the benefit of continental education and they are deficient in so many ways,” Mr Bolton added. “It is illegitimate for an international civil servant to criticise what he thinks are the inadequacies of citizens of a member government.” This was a response to a statement by, Mark Mall...

I was recently browsing the American Film Institute and came upon a bit about what movie is the best, during the last 100 years of cinema. The links below are to both the AFI, and IMDb (Internet Movie Database) top movies.

I got to thinking the other day about people. Whether those I love and care about would actually do the things they say. I also thought about the world in general. Are we really so violent? So, I have a question for you.
If the world was about to be destroyed, and you could stop it. Would you? Would you sacrifice your life for the world?
I couldn't say. I definantly know I would sacrifice my life for my family, maybe my friends. (May sound a bit cruel...) But, when it gets down to...

Montenegro 'chooses independence'
Montenegro has narrowly voted for independence from its union with Serbia, unofficial projections show.
Indications are that 55.3% of voters elected to secede from Serbia, just above the 55% required for victory.

While I admit that there will be a rough road, with the economy, possible ethnic/political tensions--I congratulate them all. I hope that they (the people-not the politicians) blossom.
Next up, Tibet, Taiwan (formally-by ch...
So, my former high school was known as the Pelicans, or Mighty Pelicans. Apparently, we were the only school in the US with the white pelican as a mascot. It has been our mascot for years. (60+ i believe).
Anywho, what were you like in highschool? Are you similar today? Are you still friends with those you knew in HS?
I was a drifter. I never considered myself part of any clique/group. I was well known in my class, but wasn't "popular". It was more of, "Hey, its that guy". In fact...
Yep, he finally got traded to the Dolphins. This is going to really drive my sisters father nuts. (Loves the 'fins, can't stand Harrington) I'm glad, I think he was just a scapegoat for the Lions' troubles. The whole organization is screwed...and with Millen around...it is not going to get better, IMHO.
I think he is going to redeem himself. I think that he will become major QB. Maybe not "legend", but respected.
What do y'all think?

Well, like the title says...its been 9 months. At least according to a blog ( Link ) that I wrote. (I was incorrect in thinking it was 10 months)
Now, All i want to do is to be let out. I did something that I'm not proud of. I've learned my lesson. In fact, in the months that i have been confined,I have learned a great deal, and have grown. (Might sound strange, but thank you for doing that...)
Still, I just want to be able to go and comment on other blogs. Thats it. I've asked before, mu...
I've been doing some family geneaology recently and came upon two pieces of family info that made me shine.
The first is a photo of a, Jacob Stadtfeld. He is my great-great-great-grandfather, from (then) Germany. It is followed by a photocopy of the obituary in the Oakland Tribune (June 2nd, 1906 ~ Evening Edition).
The next bit is the obituary of a, Matthias (also spelled Mathias) King Gray [the 1st, as we know him]. He is another great-great-great-grandfather. He is from Engl...

Ok, get this. For the last few months, the community college that I attend have been looking for a mascot. They received numerous entries. Now, the college is in what would be defined as "high desert". The three finalists were: Bandits, Desparados, and Badgers.
Guess which one is now our mascot?
Badgers. So, my CC is now known as the:
Alrighty then...."Badgers" just seems so out of place. Partially cause, as long as i have lived here (17+ years), I have yet to hear of any badgers b...
Three years later... We are still in Iraq. You know what I think....
Thats what I think, despite my frustrations, etc...

Well, I'm back from my trip up north. It went....erm. Well, I'll just tell you what went on.
Our way up was fairly uneventful. We stopped by Autzen Stadium, so (Yeah!) I was able to look around the stadium. Its massive! I also saw Coach Belloti. I didn't say hi, as he was talking to someone. :S (Dang)
One thing that was...somewhat eventful, was driving up to portland. Oy! Portland folk drive like maniacs! Course, it didn't help with a liquid (FLAMMABLE!) oxygen tank in the back of our v...
