another thing...

I don't mind LW and others doing it once to get an article on the forums... but what I do find aggrivating is people like Lucas Bailey who bump an article to get it on the forums, then when it generates zero responses he bumps it again a few days later....I've seen him do that a few times. It's as if they can't stand having no responses to an article, they can't handle being ignored so they have to bump and bump and bump. THAT drives me nuts.

--Now, the reason i have bumped certain articles, 2, sometimes three times, is that i get a bit frustrated that, i worked hard on them (not all) and i post it....but yet i see some (not all) readers dismiss the article because it doesn't seem adequate enough...perhaps i'm wrong...i really don't know...i just am frustrated with working on articles/posts and have them flop...for example, i have been working on 2 articles, one on colonizing mars, and another on earth and nuclear weapons, but when i post them, will i get any reviews...most likely not...

@#$%^&*()!

oh, btw, my moms car died, the fuel tank (apparentl) had a four inch diameter hole...so now, after having other parts of it fixed( cost ($345) she has to get a new fuel tank, etc...($155-$165)....and also, we got an eviction notice, because we are behind on rent to HUD (my mom did have 2 jobs, but when i was in the hospitol, she had to take time off to help me and the doc, despite my insistance for her to go to work, and she was "let go" from the other job, at that time our rent was at 315 (give/take) and my mum brought home about 295...(give/take) and after my mom reported the drop in income, they (KHA/HUD) kept the rent the same for another 2 months, when she was bringing home less than $140, normally, they are supposed to adjust the rent according to the income....) so things have been "Wonderful!" here..... we might end up moving in with my sister...and her 3 bedroom duplex...

-I guess i could be describe as somewhat of a cynical dreamer...hoping that things get better, working to get things better...but knowing, that the world F------ sucks, and if you don't play the little games (blackmail, etc..) you'll get screwed...

Oh, you're writing about me! I'm so flattered! What was the original title of the article? I'd really like to know....I mean, it IS about me after all. I've told you in no uncertain terms how I feel about you, I think that the least you could do is return the favor. My email address is on my page, underneath my blogroll...the next time you're going to write about me, do me a favor and give me a heads up, please.

You worked hard on the three liners that you bumped? You worked hard on the things that you cut and pasted? On the picture of a polar bear? On the essays that you plagarized?

Yes, people dismiss your work. It happens to me too. In fact, it's happened to most everyone who blogs here. You can't MAKE people read what you write, Lucas. You just have to accept that some people will like what you have to say, and some won't. Your comment here makes it seem that you want EVERYONE at JU to stop whatever they're doing and listen when you speak, and that just aint gonna happen, brotha.

Who are you writing for, anyway? WHY are you writing? Are you writing for you, or for other people? Are you writing to get comments, or to release whatever angst it is that you're feeling? Perhaps if you quit being so needy and intense, you'd find that people would be more receptive to listening to what you have to say and responding. I think that seeing multiple bumps on a thread puts a lot of bloggers off responding.

Write for YOU, Lucas. It's much more satisfying.

--And i write...i've written bits about 9/11, BTK Killer, religion, philosophy...etc... but they have gotten (some) few hits... but i see others, write about the exact same topic, and bam! they get numerous hits...IMO that shows that reputation is also a factor, and perhaps quality comes second.

Because you have successfully pissed off or alienated a fair old chunk of the community with your repeated lies and underhanded behaviour. You also simply don't write as well as other bloggers.

The key to building up your blog on JU is to be symbiotic, not parasitic. You MUST give MORE to other bloggers than they give to you. They will, in turn, respond.

Gideon has some excellent advice there. You scratch other bloggers backs, and they'll scratch yours. Your mistake in the beginning was not only lying but being so needy....instead of scratching someone else's back, you sank your talons in and you just wouldn't let go.

LW's right, Lucas. I don't owe you a damn thing. I was trying to help you integrate yourself into the community and get yourself out of your 'room', but now.....I dunno if that's something I want to pursue or not. I think it's just easier to ignore you.

--"Response to dharmagrls comment on a recent article and others stuff" --That wa the title...fine i will let ya know if i do...i never looked...i apologize...return the favor? how so. you've gone ahead and made comments about me, and have not forewarned me, sure they haven't been articles...but as this was the only way to...i did it this way...

You worked hard on the three liners that you bumped? You worked hard on the things that you cut and pasted? On the picture of a polar bear? On the essays that you plagarized?

--I said certain articles, not all of them... read it again...

--I'm not making any one read my articles...obviously... I just am tired of putting effort into certain articles and not feeling any better afterwards.

--I write my views, for me, but also for others. To debate. I offer what i feel about whatever; even if it is three liners. Like others have said, write for yourself.

--Did i say that? No. Did i say any one owed me anything? No. Now, Thank you for the help. Why not? Have i insulted you? No. All i did was reply to your comment. Thats it. Its how you have assumed how it was meant that has led to your comment on whether or not to pursue integrating me.

it's out of touch with reality

--I am quite in touch with reality. Its just narrow mindedness on writing (concerning focus on how instead of what) that irritates me.

To debate

In order to debate, one has to form a opinion of one's own and stick with it.

I have yet to see you do that.

Lucas... I've been here on this site longer than most. I've written a fair number of articles, left hundreds of comments and been featured more than a few times. I'm not a "Top Blogger" here by any means, but I do consider myself fairly successful on this site.

Not everything gets read. My absolute favorite article I ever wrote on this site was completely ignored. It happens. The main thing that keeps it from bothering me is that I write for myself first. If I can write a well thought out article that articulates my jumbled inner thoughts, then I have a successful article. Second I want it to enlighten other people, or amuse them, or in some cases even anger them. If I succeed on this point as well, I've again succeeded, but if I don't, well I already won the important fight by satisfying myself. Good feedback is an extra bonus on top of writing a good piece.

You are being pretty much sumarily dismissed by the community as a whole because of your past behavior. You have shown yourself to be a spammer, a liar and a plagerizer. The quality of your writing has never been that great (this is VERY important no matter what YOU think... if something is poorly written, it's hard to understand. Quality of writing is tied directly to quality of content.) and your positions are inconsistant and you lack the ability to argue or backup your position.

Bumping your articles will NOT help you get the responses you so desperately crave. After the first bump, chances are that people just aren't interested. If I see an article bumped more than once, I don't bother responding even if it's well-written. I don't like to satisfy/encourage attention whores.
