No, america did not deserve to be attacked. Those innocent human beings did not deserve to be murdered. Those who flew those planes are not martyrs, they were not heroes. They were murderers; those who died in the attacks are the Heroes, those who helped are the heroes. (police, firefighters, etc...)

Ummmm...hello Tweedle Dum. Did you READ the article?

I didn't say that the people in the towers or at the pentagon or in the airplanes deserved to be killed. They absolutely didn't. Are we, as a nation or people, aside from our government, generally self-absorbed? Pretty much.

And the people who died sitting behind desks aren't really heroes. More like victims. The people who went back in to help...THOSE people are heros...although I doubt you'd hear a one of them call themselves that.

Marcie, you really should give a person warning when you're going to drop funnies like that.  I just sprayed my monitor with coke - via my nose! HAHAHAHAHA!!!

I know you didn't, i was just saying how i feel. And i feel strongly about it. Are we (america) self absorbed...yes, sadly so. We as a nation could do better. But, not all of us are that way. There are some, who have given up everything to help others...

(I apologize for the tone of this... )

Or, better yet. We as 'humans' can be better than this. It isn't just americans that are self absorbed. But there are those that give what they can give. We can shed the primal bruteness and become peaceful and caring...but, i don't see that happening.....

I can agree with that.

Being self absobed might be called selfish, egocentric, or close minded.  None of which are crimes in this country, or most countries and certainly not crimes against humanity.

Killing 3000 innocent people in the USA, 300+ in Spain, 50+ in England are crimes against humanity.

Somehow I missed the law that made being selfish a crime punishable by death.

Are we, as a nation or people, aside from our government, deserving of death for being so?Answer that, and you'll have the answer to what's got to be the stupidest question you've ever asked

Perhaps....good question...and; no

--True, that wouldn't be a crime against humanity, but wouldn't it be a 'crime' against morality....(of course morality being subjective to ones moral standards.....)

--Interesting comments from every one...
