A brief candle; both ends burning
An endless mile; a bus wheel turning
A friend to share the lonesome times
A handshake and a sip of wine
So say it loud and let it ring
We are all a part of everything
The future, present and the past
Fly on proud bird
You're free at last.

written en route to the funeral for his friend, Ronnie Van Zant of the band, Lynyrd Skynyrd

September 11th, 2001. New York City, United States of America...

--A normal day it seemed, one like any other day in NYC, but this day would change, this day would bring about worst fears......Imagine; getting your cup of coffee, heading to work, going up the stairs or elevator. Now imagine sitting at your desk, just starting the work day, when you feel the tower swaying.....you aren’t sure why it did that, but you check to find out...a plane, had crashed into the tower......

-8:46 a.m. - American Flight 11 from Boston crashes into the North
Tower at the World Trade Center.

--Imagine; you are another worker, starting out the day a little differently, you don't drink coffee, you'd rather have OJ, you arrive at work, and go about your business, and you as well, feel the tower sway....

-9:03 a.m. - United Flight 175 from Boston crashes into the South
Tower at the World Trade Center.

--Imagine; You work at the pentagon, the stronghold of the American military, a symbol of great magnitude....you are on your way to work, you arrive just as a huge jet plane crashes into the pentagon....

-9:45 a.m. - American Flight 77 crashes into The Pentagon.

Imagine; you are a bystander, staring up at the WTC, shocked at seeing not one, but two planes hit the towers...then minutes later, the south tower collapses....

-10:05 a.m. - The South Tower at the World Trade Center collapses.

-10:10 a.m. - A large section of one side of The Pentagon collapses.

--10:10 a.m. - United Flight 93 crashes in a wooded area in
Pennsylvania, after passengers confront hijackers.

-10:28 a.m. - The North Tower at the World Trade Center collapses.

--Imagine...? No.....Remember!

--We all (Americans, and others) remember that day too well; some want to forget, don't forget, Remember! If we choose to forget, then we will lose touch of what (by horrible actions) brought us (Americans) together as a nation. If we forget, like I see happening, we will once again be divided, and easy to defeat. I don't want that, but I see people out an about that back stab, steal, murder, and call each other names, etc...People blame others for problems because they are white, black, republican or democrat. Because of stupid reasons...we are falling apart. Politicians squabble over petty things, the right way according to their party platform , when what they should set aside their parties and unite for the betterment of America. It's disgusting, seeing people like that. And I for one am ashamed of my part in it.

--On and after 9/11, condolences and sorrow was felt through out the world, not by just Americans, but by those who lived in other countries, and those who had family who died here but were from some place else. Leaders of nations around the world gave their condolences and offered words of strength to lift the spirits....It was a day to remember....Indeed. But now, coming up upon the four year anniversary, take a look around folks. That day is gone, leaders of other nations have long since gone on to other things, the bond that was created by 9/11, amongst the nations of the world, is broken, gone. Nations bicker over things that shouldn't be bickered over, ill will and personal gain top certain nation's lists of endeavors. Difference of opinions have created rifts/ I feel that we as a world have forgotten the bond and tragedy we had on that day, that it was shrugged it off once it was convenient...

--I may be ranting, you may not disagree with me, but this is what I feel/think.....please, state your opinions/thoughts or prayers (in remembrance of those that died) but do not leave a post of ill will....I will delete it...and, remember that day, remember those that lost their lives because they were murdered by terrorists... and remember those people who, when others quavered, stepped up and took on the challenge of saving lives...Americas hero's.

--We must never forget! Remember 9/11! Remember America's Heroes!

--On 9/11, don't just rememer those who died that day, visit family, friends, and even strangers on the street. Get to know the mail man, make friends. Let Freedom, and peace ring around the US and the World...We may have our differences, and our fights, but we must put those things aside....and unite!

--Light a virtual candle in rememberance of those who died on 9/11, or light one for peace, or a family member/friend...
