Israel v. Palestine:Who has the claim to Gaza and West Bank?

With the current Israeli pullout of the Gaza Strip and West Bank; one has to ask themselves; digging through the muck, blood, and history; “Who has the claim to the ‘Holy Land’? Is it the Palestinians who have the right to live there; and cast out the Israeli’s? Our is it the Israeli’s right to cast out the Palestinians? The Israeli’s, if one accepts the bible and other sources, have the claim to all of Israel. But with the continuous, sweeping change of history, the Palestinian’s eventually settled into the area. We know one thing; it is nearly impossible to have them living side by side, there animosity is the fiercest and harshest in history. They just do not like each other. Most would rather just go on and live their lives, but, so called freedom fighters/liberators have caused violence to escalate.
Looking back, way back to 1 BCE, Israel (Israel as known then) was controlled by Jewish kings/rulers. They where warred against by other nations because of ethnic, religious and other differences. Greece, Persia, Egypt, Assyria, etc… at one time or another controlled the land. But, Israel had it first.
Now, the Palestinians, which are ethnically ‘Palestinians/Arabs’, though are technically Arabs. Feel they have the right to the land, because they desire a nation of their own, some thing to stake a global identity, not to be known as “the others in Gaza” and the west bank. After the Arab-Israeli conflict, large numbers of Arabs remained in Israel. This caused turmoil amongst the two ethnicities. With bombs going off, and both sides blaming each other. The once peaceful land was turned into “hell on earth”.
Know I ask you, who has the claim to Israel (Gaza/West Bank)? Both Palestinian areas are in Israel. Should the Palestinians take over those areas and found a new nation? Should Israel pull out?

--I Really am unsure of where to stand on this topic, I am a 'total' Israel supporter, yet, the palestinians are not sovereign, they don't have a true nation...hmmm, what do you think?

Today the world "Palestinian" refers to only Arab Palestinians. Before the founding of Israel a Palestinian was a any person who lived in Palestine. It is the first sense of the word that I use here.
Gaza and the West bank are Palestinian because these territories were like Israel once part of the Ottoman Empire and then the British mandate of Palestine. The Ottoman Empire was divided into such mandates and to some extent countries. Turkey was created for the Turks, Saudi Arabia was taken by a revolution, other countries were created as Arab countries, ruled by the Hashemite family (Jordan and Iraq). Palestine was itself divided into a Jewish part and an Arab part. Gaza and the West Bank were essentially that Arab part.
Some other Arab countries, and mercenaries from Jordan and Iraq (the Hashemites have traditionally few problems with Jews) then invaded Palestine and while Israel could defend itself, the Arab part fell. Israel was attacked several times after that and eventually occupied Gaza and Sinai (taken from Egypt) and the West Bank (taken from Jordan).
Sinai was given back to Egypt in exchange for peace (and the Egyptian president responsible for that treaty was murdered by the Arab fascists for it).
Gaza and the West Bank were kept by Israel.
There was no justification for Jordan and Egypt to occupy and annex (Egypt annexed Gaza, Jordan did not annex the West Bank, I think) Palestine (the Arab part of it, I refer to that part as Palestine from now on), as it was meant to be the homeland for Palestinian Arabs.
Now that Israel controls these territories there is finally a chance for such a country (Egypt didn't want Palestine to exist as an independent country, Jordan didn't want Palestinians to have more power).
Israel won the territories legitimately, when it was attacked. But the countries Israel won them from did not legitimately own them.
Gaza and the West Bank were supposed to be Palestine and can now be.
And Israel said as much in a treaty with the PLO (which the PLO broke many times).
And the Palestinians ought to have a state.
And since the Arab fascists didn't want the Palestinians to have a state, I think it is obvious that they should have a state.
And that's why Gaza and the West Bank should be Palestinian (i.e. Arab).

And that's why Gaza and the West Bank should be Palestinian (i.e. Arab).
A very interesting and straightforward perspective. Why is it that so many in the affected portion of the world can't come to the same conclusion?

The Arabs in the region have been told, for generations, that Jews are evil, that Jews poison their food, and that Jews try to make them impotent. They are also humiliated because they think of themselves as a great culture and military power yet are beaten by a few million Jews whenever they attack them.
The Palestinians themselves completely ignore the fact that their Arab brethren have so far done absolutely nothing to help them. Yet they trust them and not the Jews. All the help the Palestinians have got came from Israel and the international (non-Arab) community (and Saddam Hussein provided they kill enough Jews). And Palestinian leaders have so far diverted the money to fund their own families or buy weapons (but the official Palestinian police seem to be ill-equipped, so where did the weapons go?).
