Warning: Rant Ahead

While browsing around the reuters website i found an article concerning Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez. It seems that he, with his greater experience and infinite wisdom in evacuations, he went ahead and criticized bush, saying: "the king of vacations in his ranch said nothing but, you have to flee, and didn't say how" ( http://today.reuters.com/news/newsArticle.aspx?type=worldNews&storyID=2005-09-01T004759Z_01_MOL102882_RTRIDST_0_INTERNATIONAL-WEATHER-KATRINA-CHAVEZ-DC.XML ) These remarks came as thousands of people evacuated New Orleans with help from US authorities.

What else can bush say other than flee? Those in New Orleans have lived there a long time, they know the way out. Just Flee. I don't understand how hard it would be. I understand that there would be traffic jams, etc... But why stay there and not go?

Chavez IMO is like a child trying to beat down a 7'0" adult, they try and try, but all they do is annoy the adult. IMO Chavez should keep out of things that doesn't concern his country.

He said: "He says the Bush administration is trying to assassinate him " Well, if we are; we haven't been successful and it seems that no stories of attempts on his life has surfaced. Hmmm, i wonder why? Verbal/political assassination is happening, but Chavez isn't the only one being "assassinated", so is bush, and other leaders who have relations with various countries that dislike their's. It's a part of politics.

On a better note; Chavez has said he would: The Venezuelan president, applauded by supporters for his self-proclaimed socialist revolution to fight poverty, has offered to send cheap fuel, humanitarian aid and relief workers to the disaster area.
Venezuelan state oil firm PDVSA has offered $1 million from its U.S.-based refinery unit Citgo for relief efforts.

Also, i heard that over a dozen countries have pledged support, and funds are up to 21 million.

Now i feel free speech is a great thing, but, one would be wise to keep his mouth shut in situations he knows little on, as it makes them look like fools.

Cahvez can't shut up, because every day he isn't in the international press he disappears. Subjugating his own nations isn't enough for him. He wants to make his nations a "world player", and selling oil at $70 a barrell is financing that.

Now all he has to do is fund enough Middle Eastern terrorism and he'll be the bees knees.

Chavez is just plain ignorant on this. "If" and I do mean "if"....we wanted this clown dead, he would be. No question about it.

Chavez is reality, the American government isn't.

Chavez is reality, the American government isn't.

Then why don't you go live there instead of here if you feel that way about it.

Because he'd rather not live in a country where they throw you in jail for insulting government officials. He'd last about an hour there, I'm guessing.

It proves even crazy communists use the same propaganda as the American left. How long will it be before he blames Bush for the hurricane?

How long will it be before he blames Bush for the hurricane?

I think he already did.

On another note, why don't we ask Chavez why he lets the armed guerrillas roam his country side looting, killing and kidnapping.  Any leader with half a brain knows how to hunt them down.

What is wrong with you? You know if they do that they will offend the guerillas and the international community. We can't have that. Armed guerillas must be left alone, and we need to listen to their problems, that's the only way.
