Pop ups, oy, they drive me crazy. And i have looked for a program to block them, but, of the ones i have found, they are of low quality. And they don't work.

Another thing i just hate (when it happens) is when you type in a url, but type it incorrect, and instead get another...., slightly different site.... Did that once and instead got some occult page, , i just backed out and re-typed the url...

Another thing i can't stand is when you go to type a url and you get a page that says it can't be found, but you know it exists...

Anyway, just a few things (that i can think of at the moment) that irritates me...

It sounds like you might have spyware on your computer. That means tons of popups. Download spybot. It's a free program. It will eliminate tons of these pop ups and also help with some of the redirection type stuff.

I've never really had a problem with them. Expecially now, I just use Firefox and adblock and I don't even get close to getting a popup. Most of the adds around pages are gone, too.

Aye ElindelWolf,

of course I don't mind you have deleted my comment. However I didn't meant it to be an insult, rather would've preferred to start a debate or argument.

Look what I had in mind:
-Someone being in such a fret that opens a forum topic about popups probably after quite awhile after experiencing the first browser popup coudl have saved a lot of time / anger asking about a solution from friends / relatives / mates from some net community. Here's my 2cents: try firefox or opera browsers.
-Someone knowing how to use the web, register for account on a community site, open a topic, type in a comment should have a bit more understanding what's happening in the background. The original post is similar if I said: Todays cars are crazy. Yesterday the street I wanted to find was here, today it isn't. (Regardless if I lost my way, or the road is blocked due to reconstruction.)

The argument could have gone about "do I need to know more about my PC and the net than how to turn on my PC and doubleclick the IE icon". Beleive me, I could argue for both imaginable extreme standpoints.

You can delete this comment as well, if that's the preferred way of negotiations.
You have the power.
