Well, read an article concerning the iraqi vote and, believe it or not, the turn out, is estimated at approx. 66%, thats approximetly 10-11 million people. (26,074,906 total, as of July 2005)

Out of 6230 polling sites nationally, 5850 were opened. Most of those that weren't or couldn't be opened were in the Anbar Province, Some towns were too dangerous (because of operations) to be opened. And, guess what:


Ayar said the international and United Nations' monitors had told electoral commission staff that they were satisfied.


Now, i agree their are problems concerning the voting, the fact that some centres weren't open, the sunni's voting largely no, and the attacks. But, 66%, thats 3% higher than the 2004 US turnout.

Why don't people care about voting, if people complain, then "JUST DO IT" vote, put your voice out there. I mean, look at what cindy sheehan did.
