If you could live in a time, and/or place other than your own, what time and place would you choose? Why? I would choose Ancient Egypt around the time of its dawn. I would choose it because I have always had a fascination with the culture, people and architecture. Such marvels as the Sphinx, Pyramid of Cheops/Khufu, and the stepped pyramids in southern Egypt are wonders that have yet to have been fully explained in how they were built. The fact that they have lasted for thousands of y...

With the recent bombings in Lebanon ( Link ), Istanbul ( Link ), and Egypt ( Link ) , Though two of the three have been caraborated as terrorist attacks, it just makes me wonder...."Who's Next?" .....Israel...Australia...the US?? “For centuries”, the camerlengo said, “the church has stood by while science picked away at religion bit by bit. Debunking miracles. Training the mind to overcome the heart. Condemning religion as the opiate of the masses. They denounce God as a hallucination-- a delusional crutch too those too weak to accept that life is meaningless. I could not stand by while science presumed to harness the power of god himself! Proof, you say? Yes, proof of science’s ignorance! What is wrong with the admi...

What is it that drives certain bloggers to vindictively bash certain public figures? Why are so intent on just that one, or just that group? Is it a past experience? Is it a belief that is from childhood? Is it their personality? What is it? --IMO, I think it is a past experience...a person could have felt betrayed by the bash victim when he/she/thay did not support their views...or whatever else...this is similar to a thought i heard about people who are atheist...but thats another topic...

After some thought...and carefull consideration, i've decided to switch to the Democrat party and be a liberal...i compared my ideaologies to both platforms..(after spending time on JU, those things change) and i found that i am further to the left than i thought...but don't worry...i'm a moderate liberal...no fanaticism from me...

I am sure many people have noticed the 'arguement' between a few other bloggers and I over an incident that happened...this has sparked an idea... If some one is falsely assumed/accused to be a narcisst, dram 'queen' or anything else for that matter, should they defend themselves, should the continually defend their integrity? Or should they fold, and recede into the dark trenches made by the continuous 'bluggining' like comments by those who accused,etc... How would you think of that pers...

There seems to have been ill sentiment towards recent actions of mine... according to some, i have been 'hogging' the forums...i did not intend this, as i have said repeatedly, i merely post those topics because i have found them interesting, and i thought that, maybe, others would be interested, i don't know if others avidly search for such news items...so, i brought them to JU....also, if others are indeed interested in the topic, then they could start a debate over it...none of my actions ...
