We were young; we were restless. We were a couple of whirlwinds. I remember. We played together; we hurt together; We were the best of friends. I remember. We dared each other; We laughed with each other. I remember. We were the class clowns; Witty beyond measure. I remember. We helped each other in times of trouble, sometimes into trouble; And we laughed about it later. I remember. We were friends forever, until the very end; For you it was too soon;...

I wrote this poem, ehhh, in 97-98(?)....(give ot take). It was when i went through a spell (right word?) of depression. It was pretty much how i felt. I have revised just a bit. Inside myself I look, seeing a person I barely recognize, angry, depressed, useless. My parents are fighting, the battle that I claim, dark shadows lurking, emotions raging, failing, drowning, dying. No use in breathing, no use in living, emotions fulfilled, now cascading, I must leave, must...

Stress makes people do/say things they don’t mean, and at times inhibits their thinking/reasoning process. That’s what was happening to me when I was trying to defend my self. (or as others put it; Whining, mewling, and feet stamping.) I was just so stressed at the time that I reacted, and never thought; then replied. Putting more thought into my replies and what was said in other replies. I wasn’t thinking clearly and said things that were not needed. The profanity just came out; as if It f...

Rant: Assuming. Is it necessary? Should one wait and gather more information before anything is finalised? Should a persons past be taken into account? Should assumptions be made quickley? I don't think that quick assumptions are ideal; the one that assumes, if incorrect, looks foolish. The persons past should be taken into account lightly, redemption is possible, the person in question may wish to mend things. And clouded view/narrowmindedness can cause the process to be extremely di...

Candidate #1: This Candidate follows his party platform strictly, without deviation. He is his party. He listens to the voters and nods his head and agrees and makes promises. But fails to deliver on them. This Candidate is primarily interested in political office for selfish or other narrow and usually short-sighted reasons. Candidate #2: This Candidat is a part of his party. His political leadership is wise and without narrow partisanship Now, examine each candidate, who would yo...

Article: Link Sheehan Article: Link After reading the article, i have to say they (IMO) did the best thing. I understand that Sheehan grieves for her son's death. But here once noble cause has become tainted by hatred, of bush. Her ad IMO, reflects that taint (for lack of a better term). Some claim that this was a victory for the bush camp. Victory? What, are we at war with each other? I must of missed something. I mean c'mon, the attitude over the war in iraq and cindy sheehan ha...

I don't mind LW and others doing it once to get an article on the forums... but what I do find aggrivating is people like Lucas Bailey who bump an article to get it on the forums, then when it generates zero responses he bumps it again a few days later....I've seen him do that a few times. It's as if they can't stand having no responses to an article, they can't handle being ignored so they have to bump and bump and bump. THAT drives me nuts. --Now, the reason i have bumped certain artic...

With the current Israeli pullout of the Gaza Strip and West Bank; one has to ask themselves; digging through the muck, blood, and history; “Who has the claim to the ‘Holy Land’? Is it the Palestinians who have the right to live there; and cast out the Israeli’s? Our is it the Israeli’s right to cast out the Palestinians? The Israeli’s, if one accepts the bible and other sources, have the claim to all of Israel. But with the continuous, sweeping change of history, the Palestinian’s even...

Well, I don't know if everyone knows, but i have a horrible temper/anger problem. I don't mean i am constantly stomping about yelling and cursing..., but having stuffed everything inside for so long, i've been "breaking", and have been 'out bursting' (yelling, getting riled up...) frequently...So, I have been talking... Well...after an out burst at my mum on monday, she called my two doctors (Desroahcer, and Swan) Desroacher is my medical doctor, Swan is my "psych" doctor (he was the shr...

Insults, considered by some to be a last resort of a desperate blogger. One who has nothing to back his claim up, and needs something to 'stay alive'. Now, I have read interesting articles here at JU and have seen debates riddled with insults: Looney luddite left, redneck, A$$H#!(, F@#$ Y^&!, and many others... These sort of comments deviate the article/debate from its originial intent, and IMO are unneeded. If you can't back your claim up; then concede. Apparently there are those here who do...

Ok, I felt maybe i shouldn't step in and address the Sheehan debacle. But, I felt maybe i would rest better putting in my two cents in. She claims she wants to know why her son died in iraq. But according to an Ok, granted; If i had a child and he/she died, i would want to know. But can she accept that they don't know, or perhaps he died in such a gruesome way, that it could traumatize her? (its possible) Would she accept the truth? Or would she deny it? Will she (if she gets an answer) be...

Link (Article about sentencing, my article is based off of comments, etc.. in the respective article, i only wish to ask a question, and hear other JU bloggers thoughts/answers) I've been following what has been occuring in the Trial of the BTK Killer (aka Dennis Rader). With his conviction and sentencing (10 consecutive life sentences), this...thing, now has two paths left open for him. Will he; when in jail, spend his time in; A) Solitary Confinement/lockdown, or Be able to traverse ...
