WARNING, TROLLS! An urgent message goes out to all JU'sians. Trolls have escaped, and are on rampages! Some notable species are: Colonias speakerbox ~Known to insist that its arch enemy is vile and is always up to something. Wildly waves its arms in the air and screams incoherently. Dabus bannishus ~Known for violent outbursts and carrying around a club with a bid 'BB' on it. Don't let the looks fool you. Formerly a widley roaming species, it has now gone ...

Yep, its that time again. It is Friday the 13th, an infamous day for anyone who believes in curses, bad luck, karma (perhaps?), or any other.....stuff. I myself actually think that any friday the 13th is an extremely lucky day. (At least for me...) As I said before, I believe we make our own luck. Its (IMO) sort of like karma. (No, not that karma) If we are consistantly doing well, then we say (some people) "oh it's cause i am lucky". Other times it's "oh, bad luck". I also feel that ...

317 - Total Articles (4755 points) 1514 - Total Replies (7570 points) 17755 - Total Points (12325 if you're counting) 5430 - Unqualified Points Well, these were the stats used in an email sent to me by a certain blogger, who wrote in the email: I am going to lay it out for you about the points. (You should feel fortunate that I am not doing this in the JU public eye.) I know what you are doing and I know how you are doing it. I amassed 17k+ points in two days. I exploited ...

Well, It's Wednesday and that means that I've spent the last two days being re-introduced to CC procedures,etc... By far my toughest class is going to be my math class in terms of the amount of homework. The first chapter or two (from what i read) is pretty much going to be a review for myself. (I always wondered why i tested at math 70... but no matter) The one spot that i will have trouble with is the graphing equations....etc... I remember back in HS that the biggest reason i nearly...

In reference to this piece: Link I never realized that my words were interpreted as "I own "writersjournal.com". The site i was referring to was a forum that was under myfreeforum.org . As i said it is no longer running... I hope this clears things up. I do apologize for inadvertant misrepresintation. --Lucas
I've always put a lot of emphasis on whether i was a liberal or conservative, republican or democrat. At times i called my self a centrist. Other times i would've been happy with being called a purple people eater. Regardless. I've been reading several books over the course of the last few months. I've finally come to terms with it and realized that, i am conservative, despite what i may think or want. (on the inside) Deep down inside i am red all the way. But, that doesn't mean i am...
One thing that i have been thinking about it the fact that, despite voters having the right to declare (through there vote) a certain thing to be right or wrong. An example would be the State of Oregons measure 36, which the voters of Oregon voted (as to define marriage as a man and a women/ ban same sex marriage) and passed with a finally tally of 57% to 43%. Now, months later, this was found to be unconstitutional as it limited a persons rights, despite the voters voice in a 57-43 passing o...
With the recent news about Israels PM Ariel Sharon being hospitalized with yet another stroke, this time however, there is a slim chance he will survive. I offer them (the family, nation,etc...) my best regards and hope he does survive. Secondly, I heard about who would replace him and am pleased. I've supported the idea of giving land back to the palestinians in the exchange for peace. (Or at least great attempts for it) -EW Doctors Doubt Full Recovery for Sharon AP Medical...
41...38. 3 points seperated the Texas Longhorns and SC Trojans. With 19 seconds left, the trojans, led by Matt Leinart tried to rally, but was unsuccesful. The Longhorns QB, Vince Young amassed 267 yards passing (30 for 40), 200 yards rushing in 20 attempts. Which broke a rose bowl record previously set by Danny Neil (sp?) of Oregon. This game was definantly intense. Finally, the Trojans were toppled. Now, the trojans played very well and nearly pulled it out. Good Job Longhorns....
"You're going to relegate my history to a month?" the 68-year-old actor says in an interview on CBS' "60 Minutes" to air Sunday (7 p.m. EST). "I don't want a black history month. Black history is American history." Freeman notes there is no "white history month," and says the only way to get rid of racism is to "stop talking about it." The actor says he believes the labels "black" and "white" are an obstacle to beating racism. "I am going to stop calling you a white man and I'm goin...
I've been considering joining the Freemasons and Knights Templar. My grandfather (mother's side) was a freemason and i have been told that his father was both a mason and a templar. I've long admired both groups, they are very charitable organizations. (Despite those who use them for ill will, whether directly or indirectly.) They are also both very religious organizations and i find myself to not really be religous at all. Should I? --Lucas
The '08 Orange bowl pitted the Penn State Nittany Lions against the Florida State Seminoles. Both teams coaches, combined, total over 700 wins in nearly 50 years (combined) of coaching. On one side you have Penn State's coach, known as "Joe Pa", who has had dissenters (most notably alumni) calling for his head. On the other side you have Bobby Bowden, who was thought to be "winding down". Both coaches, and teams proved the dissenters wrong. As I sat and watched the game, it was a total d...
Lets say, first of all, that such an idea as “past lives” is real. For those who do not know what these are, they are: “prior incarnations” of a beings soul in previous lives. (e.g. a past life: Having been a plantation owner in South Carolina in the later 1880’s.) Now, what if I were to say that certain traits or tendencies of the current life were actually influences from prior lives; that the unexplainable fear of being buried alive is influenced by the fact that in a past life you (w...
It must've been nearly 3-4 years ago when my mum and i headed over the hill (Cascades) to the rogue valley. (Which encompasses Ashland, Medford, Central Point, Eagle Point, Jacksonville, and many other areas.) More specifically we were heading to Jacksonville which is a small town which holds the "Britt Festival" and was host to President Bush a few years back. In this town is a cemetery, which, due to how old the town is, has fairly old markers. On some there were births from 1756, and later...
